What’s In My Makeup Bag

So I’ll be honest, I feel like I became a mini beauty guru overnight with how many questions I’ve recieved about the products I’ve been using. “Girl, what are you using on your hair?” “Oh my goodness, your foundation is flawless what brand is that?” “Alex, you smell so good… what is that?”

I decided since so many of you asked, I would create a blog post fully dedicated to what I’ve been using lately. I’ll be honest, a lot of these items are Avon because I’m an independent sales Representative and I like being honest with my customers about what I use. But I promise you that I’ve literally recieved more compliments on my makeup this past month alone than I have in the years of wearing high-end makeup.

With that being said, I have a disclaimer: these links I provide will direct you to my personal Avon website. I will receive commission on any products you choose to purchase, without any extra charge to you. Any orders over $60 qualify for free shipping (who doesn’t love that?) and if you click the little “become a rep” button at the top it will lead you to sign up for Avon for FREE, where you will then be able to shop with an additional 25% off.

Without further ado: let’s look at my shower/skincare/makeup regimen.

First off, let’s jump in the shower to wash off and get a nice clean palette to work with!

For Shampoo, I’m currently using Shimmer Lights Purple Shampoo. I’m not going to link it for the fact that it’s nowhere near my favorite purple shampoo, nor do I feel as though it does the trick as good as I’d like. But this silly girl paid $15 for it at Target, so I’ll be using every last drop whether I like it or not!

For Conditioner, I’ve been using Avon x CHI Essentials Moisture Conditioner. I didn’t know what to expect from this conditioner, as all the high-end hair products I’ve used have never seemed to be worth the price tag. However, not only did it exceed my expectations, but made my hair look and feel visibly healthier within a week of use. It smells super good, and is made with lots of great ingredients like Aloe, Pomegranate, and Hibiscus, as well as being packed with vitamins A and B.

Next, I wash my body. I’ll be honest, I use a variety of different products depending on the day and what’s in the shower. I have super sensitive skin, and have been meaning to order our Skin So Soft Bath Oil. But apparently everyone is equally as excited as I am, because we’re currently sold out of it!

The link provided is for a different scent that IS available if you wanted to look into it!

I then shave, and wash my face before getting out. The face wash I’m currently using is our Anew Clean Illuminating Rich Cleansing Foam. It’s perfect for a variety of different skin types, and I love that it’s not drying like a lot of other face washes I’ve used. I’ll be honest, it doesn’t smell the yummiest, but with sensitive skin I have to stay away from fragrances. Sad face. 🙁

After all that is done, I get out of the shower and prep my hair and face for the day.

On my hair, I use our Advance Techniques 360 Nourish With Moroccan Argan Oil Leave-In Treatment. Paired with the CHI conditioner, it makes my hair look and feel like I’m walking fresh out of the salon every. Single. Day. A little amount goes a long way, and I’ve found that it also works extremely well for taming frizz and fly-aways without making my hair look greasy.

I’ve been using this daily for 2 months now, and it’s maybe down to the “Avon” on top there. This leave in goes such a long way and is well worth your money!

After applying my leave in, I go in and moisturize my face. I’ve been LOVING our Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb Moisturizer. It’s been proven to increase your skin’s natural moisture up to 70%, which we all know is translated into softened lines and wrinkles, as well as giving your skin a radiant glow! This is hands down the best product I’ve ever used on my face to help combat the dryness that I have, and compared to the price of the other guys stuff: I might as well buy this in bulk!

The travel size is enough to last you a good month or two, otherwise if you’re confident your skin will love it as much as I do I highly suggest getting the full size!

Alright, time for the fun stuff!

For my foundation, I use our Magix Wand Foundation Stick in the shade Marshmallow. One of my favorite things about this foundation is how buildable it is, so you can wear it sheer where you don’t have a lot to correct, and more dense where you’d like fuller coverage. It doesn’t feel super cakey like other foundations that I’ve tried, and I love that it doesn’t look like you’re wearing foundation either! It’s the best of both worlds in one!

For those who perfer sheer, light coverage for summer we also have a Magix Tint that I’ve heard nothing but great things about!

Next, I go in and fix my sad excuse of eyebrows. I’ve been loving our Tattoo Station Proof Eyebrow Pencil, although we did just come out with a pomade I’m dying to try as well! With being pregnant and summer bringing out the sauna no matter where I’m at, I appreciate how well this eyebrow pencil holds up to sweat and general wear throughout the day. Its waterproof, and it honestly holds so well that if I don’t remember to pay attention to my eyebrows while washing my face it’ll stay on through my entire shower regimen! I will highly suggest to order a shade darker, as I ordered Light brown to match my currently blonde hair, and it’s a tad bit too light for my dark eyebrow hairs. Of course, I could always go in with concealer and not worry about it, but I’m lazy.

It’s also self sharpening and has a spoolie end!

Last but not least: eyes.

I’m not one to have time to do anything fancy, so mascara it is! I’ve been using our Love At 1st Lash Mascara which has a growth serum added into the formula to help promote fuller, longer lashes. My absolute favorite part is it doesn’t cost anywhere near what you think it does!! (With my link it’s under $10. Seriously.)

If you try anything I’ve talked about, make it be this. It’s worth every penny plus some.

And that’s it!

Thanks for getting ready with me! If you order any of these products, I’d love to hear your honest review. Leave it in the comments, or use the “Contact Me” tab to send me an email!

Until next time.
